Welcome to the Florida Data Director Council’s (FDDC) Training and Mentoring Wiki

The FDDC is a working forum for county data directors, key data users from Florida county Democratic Executive Committees, the Florida Democratic Party, and its affiliated organizations. The goal of the FDDC and of this training wiki is to help you turn data into action to maximize the vote for Democrats!

This wiki is a library of “how to” documents showing you basic and more advanced ways to reach voters and conduct campaigns to get Democrats elected up and down the ballot. Training materials include tutorials, Step-by -Step Guides, and videos prepared by different counties. Although the formats vary, the information should be the same.

Materials are organized in two main categories:

1) Tasks to “Get Out the Vote” from getting voters registered or enrolled in Vote by Mail, to creating slate cards, to following up with voters who have not submitted their mail-in ballots. Tasks include “campaigns” which are roadmaps with strategies, tools, and timelines to get voters enrolled in Vote by Mail, get them out to vote, and cure ballots.

2) Tools you need to help you conduct the tasks, such as Votebuilder (VAN), Voter Analysis Tools (VAT), EMS, our texting platform, and our emailing platform.

There is also a Resources tab for links to useful online resources. Similarly there is a tab with critical dates and deadlines for upcoming elections.
